  1. Constipation or diarrhea in dogs: When a dog is defecating, it makes a painful squeaking sound but just can't pass the stool, or the stool is not formed, and it has a poor mental state and appetite, it indicates that the dog is ill.
Suggestion: If you have constipation, you can feed some probiotics or vegetables and fruits to regulate your intestines and stomach. If you have diarrhea and rule out infectious diseases, you can avoid water and food, give some anti-diarrheal medicine and probiotics, and observe for one day.
  1. Frequent stretching: If a dog remains in a stretching position for a long time and is not in good spirits or has a poor appetite, it might have a stomachache.
Suggestion: Control the diet, mainly consisting of light and easily digestible food. Walk the dog more often to enhance its physical condition and resistance.
  1. Frequent scratching of ears and cheeks: When a dog keeps throwing its ears with its PAWS and walking with the ears touching the ground, you must check if there are ear mites or fungi in the dog's ears. Treat it as early as possible to prevent otitis media from causing partial or complete deafness in the dog.
Suggestion: Regularly clean your dog's ears, pluck the ear hair, and keep the ears well-ventilated.
  1. Licking and biting a certain part: When a dog's part is injured, due to the pain, it will keep licking to relieve the pain, or the itching caused by skin diseases will stimulate it to bite.
Suggestion: Wear an Elizabethan collar on the head, stop its behavior, and apply medicine for treatment in time.
  1. Lying on all four legs to sleep: The dog has a dry nose, is listless and shivering. At this point, you need to insert a thermometer about 2cm into the anus for approximately 3 minutes to measure its body temperature. Under normal circumstances:
Puppies (0 months to 4 months) : 38.5°C-39.5°C, with a relatively high body temperature. Adult dogs (4 months to 7 years old) : 37.5°C-39°C, stable body temperature. Elderly dogs (over 7 years old) : 37.5°C-39°C, with a relatively low body temperature.
Suggestion: If there is a mild fever (39.6°C-40.5°C), physical cooling can be used. Apply a wet towel or ice pack to the abdomen and both sides of the neck for 1 minute each time, then remove it. Seek medical attention immediately if you have a severe fever (>40.6°C), as it may indicate infection or heatstroke.
